Announcements for the selection of candidates for doctoral studies in Greek or foreign language PhD programs are made once each academic year, during September – November, or whenever the Department Assembly deems it appropriate. Announcements for doctoral candidate positions are posted on the Department’s website.
The announcements specify:
- the duration for submitting applications,
- the fields of study in which candidates may conduct their doctoral research, as well as the number of admissions per field,
- the documents that must accompany the application.
Any interested party who meets the requirements of the Doctoral Studies Regulation may submit an application to the Department Assembly for conducting doctoral research.
The application must be accompanied by a detailed CV of the candidate and the documents required by the study program regulation to prove compliance with the requirements of paragraph 1 and any other requirements that may apply in each case.
A good knowledge of the English language at the B2 level is added to the candidate’s mandatory qualifications. The language may differ from English, provided the Department Assembly deems this significant for academic reasons. Any additional language proficiency certification is positively evaluated.
